Rental Rates FAQ
Common questions about deposits, setup, catering, and event policies to help you plan with confidence.
What deposits are required?
A $500 non-refundable rental deposit secures your date and is deducted from the total rental rate. A separate $200 refundable damage/security deposit is also required and returned within five working days after the event if no damage occurs.
How much setup time is included?
Each renter is guaranteed up to three hours of setup time. Additional setup time may be available depending on the venue schedule.
Can I use my own caterer?
Mevist maintains a list of approved, bonded caterers. If you prefer an independent caterer, you must sign a Food and Beverage Waiver accepting full responsibility for food service and safety.
What is your cancellation policy?
The $500 rental deposit is non-refundable and required to complete a reservation. Cancellations forfeit this deposit. Final balances are due three weeks before the event date.
When is the final balance due?
The full rental balance is due no later than three weeks prior to the event date. Installment plans are available: up to five payments for rentals of $1,500 or more, or up to three payments for rentals under $1,500.
Can alcohol be served?
Mevist does not sell or store alcohol. Acquisition and consumption are the renter's sole responsibility. Open bars require appropriate permits and licenses presented at least 14 days before the event, and additional security may be required.
What decoration rules apply?
Decorations may not be attached to walls, ceilings, floors, woodwork, fixtures, or window treatments using nails, staples, screws, pins, tape, or any adhesive. Please use free-standing or approved display methods.
